AEGIS

Terms of service

The agreement.

Draft, pending review by counsel. This page states how AEGIS is intended to work and is written to be accurate about the product. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a binding agreement. Do not publish it as final.

What AEGIS provides

AEGIS provides market analysis, charting and trade journaling software. It is a software product, not a financial service. It does not hold your funds, does not execute trades, and does not act as your agent in any market.

What you are responsible for

  • Your trading decisions, entirely and without exception.
  • Keeping your account credentials secure.
  • Complying with the terms of your broker, exchange and funding firm.
  • Holding any exchange data subscription your use of real-time data requires.
  • Being truthful about your professional or non-professional market-data status.

Market data

Exchange market data is licensed to you by the exchange, per subscriber and per device. You agree that AEGIS may register the devices on which you display market data and report subscriber counts as its data agreements require. Misrepresenting your subscriber status may result in charges levied by the exchange, and those are yours.

Acceptable use

Do not redistribute market data received through AEGIS, resell access, share an account between people, attempt to circumvent device registration or plan limits, or use AEGIS to build a competing dataset.

Billing

Paid plans bill in advance on the interval you choose. Cancel at any time and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. Prices may change with notice, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

No warranty

AEGIS is provided as is. It may be unavailable, delayed, incomplete or wrong. See the risk disclosure, which forms part of these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, AEGIS is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, missed opportunities, or any consequential loss arising from use of the software or from its unavailability — including losses connected to analysis that turned out to be wrong, data that was delayed, or a rule figure that differed from your funding firm's own calculation.

Termination

You may close your account at any time and export your journal before or after doing so. We may suspend an account for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where a market-data licensor requires it.
