Privacy
Your journal is the most sensitive thing here.
So it is worth being specific about what happens to it.
Draft, pending review by counsel. This page states how AEGIS is intended to work and is written to be accurate about the product. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a binding agreement. Do not publish it as final.
The short version
Your trades are not sold, not shared with brokers or data brokers, and not used to train a model that serves anyone but you. Market analysis is computed once per symbol from public market data and broadcast to everyone watching it — your positions play no part in producing it.
What is stored
- Account: your email address, a hash of your password, and your settings.
- Trading data: fills retrieved from any broker you connect, and the trades reconstructed from them.
- What you write: notes, tags and ratings you add to trades.
- Devices: a record of each device permitted to display market data, which exchange licensing requires be tracked and revocable.
- Billing: handled by our payment processor. Card numbers never reach AEGIS.
Broker credentials
Credentials for a broker connection are held encrypted server-side and never in the browser or the app. Where the broker's API supports read-only access, that is what AEGIS requests. You can revoke a connection at any time.
How your journal is used
Your journal powers statistics shown to you — how you have traded conditions like the ones on screen. That computation runs for you and its results are shown only to you.
Shared market analysis is produced from market data alone. It is identical for every subscriber watching that symbol, which is both a privacy property and the reason it can be delivered at the same instant to everyone.
What is never done
- Your trades are not sold or licensed to anyone.
- Your positions are not disclosed to brokers, exchanges or other users.
- Your journal is not used to train a model that serves another user.
- Your data is not used to build an aggregate product about trader behaviour.
Your rights
Export your journal at any time, including after cancelling. Ask for your account and its data to be deleted and it will be, subject to any records we are legally required to retain. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA; the contact address on the contact page reaches a person who can act on them.
Cookies
A session cookie to keep you signed in. This marketing site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and embeds no third-party trackers.
